Who put this hold here? (hold sources)

Holds arrive from two directions: applied inside Order Management (user or hold rules), or imported WITH the order from the capture channel upstream. Knowing the source decides who releases it, releasing a channel-imported hold locally while the channel keeps re-sending it is whack-a-mole.

Root cause

Source = OM-applied vs capture-system-imported; release at the source.

How to fix it
  1. Open the hold details, source and applied-by are on the record
  2. OM-applied: release in OM once the business reason clears
  3. Channel-imported: fix/release upstream too, or every re-import re-holds the order
