Oracle Fusion Cost Management · cost processor error · cause and fix

Work order or operation information does not exist in the source system

Costing received a manufacturing transaction whose work-order or operation reference it cannot match to anything it knows, often a data-timing issue (production data not yet transferred to costing) or, historically, invisible leading spaces corrupting the reference.

Root cause

The manufacturing reference on the transaction doesn't match any work order/operation costing can see.

How to fix it
  1. Run Transfer Transactions from Production to Costing first, the most common miss
  2. Confirm the work order exists and its number matches exactly (watch for leading spaces)
  3. Still stuck → the release-specific Oracle notes below carry the exact patch path
